Biography

Hello, everybody. My name is Tavereas, but I go by “Tav” due to the funny noises people make when they try to pronounce it. I’m a sophomore pysch student at the Quad-Cities Campus and I chose BHC because I plan to transfer to St. Ambrose after I get my associate degree here. I’m a disabled Army combat engineer veteran and the Student Ambassador for Disability Resources and Access, as well as the president of the Disabilities Alliance. After living in Chicago, Rockford and Iowa City, I have grown to dislike cities and live in a tiny, quiet town. My beautiful babies, Jahseh and Maya, are the best part of my life and to be someone they can be proud of is my mission. As a pastime, I love to watch football – Bear down, Chicago!
